Bring
your lawn chairs, spouse, children, grandchildren, friends...and some
snacks to pass. We have coffee, tea and lemonade and a chance to
maja (my-uh)...to weave a long garland of flowers and greenery and
drape the majstång (my-stong)--midsommar pole. We parade the
garland behind a procession of musicians, marching to a Scandinavian
gånglåt (gong-lote) a walking song. We will drape the midsummer pole,
tip it high, up--up and admire nature’s beauty against the summer sky,
maybe even have a dance around it. Music, food and new
Scandinavian friends...what a way to spend the longest days of the
summer? 13 miles west of Eau Claire between Cnty Hwys ‘C’ & ‘E’ on 810th St. (near Springbrook Town Hall) call 715-664-8132 with questions. Welcome! |
